The claim to fame of humanlinks.com is that it is ‘the only Indian portal on human resource development’. Run by a group of HR practitioners from Indian institutes and universities, the site is an outlet for their knowledge and experience in the practice of Indian human resources.
Divided into self-explanatory sections such as education and careers, general studies, skills, organisational tests, training and management resources, humanlinks.com provides a considerable number of resources in the form of online tests, articles and games.
Some are more useful for the Australian practitioner than others, namely organisational tests and management resources. Organisational tests includes a number of interactive and insightful audits and tests, such as HRD climate surveys, performance management audits, people management audits and a ‘Are you in danger of getting fired?’ test. Management resources includes a number of resources such as HR news, useful links, HR tools (templates and letters) and articles and presentations. The latter is a pandora’s box of articles on Indian HR.
Navigation of humanlinks.com is surprisingly simple and easy, and design follows suit, with only a small but inoffensive number of animated banner ads to detract from the overall impression.
