Human Resource Effectiveness Monitor

Mercer Human Resource Consulting, 2004

$836.00

Mercer’s Human Resource Effectiveness Monitor, formerly known as Corporate Benchmark Monitor, is designed to assist HR functions in benchmarking themselves through examining 42 key people-related measures.

The report looks at issues such as organisational HR effectiveness compared to similar-sized organisations in different industries, HR structures, technologies and outsourcing practices that lead to better HR performance, and benchmark staffing ratios for various HR functions, including payroll and training. Data is based on surveys of 140 participating organisations including well-known names such as Virgin Blue, Wesfarmers, Sara Lee and Australia Post.

The Human Resource Effectiveness Monitor sbenchmarks fall into the categories: staffing ratios; training; employee turnover; occupational health and safety and sick leave; human resource budgets; overtime and recruitment; and salary costs and profit ratios. Specific benchmarks, for example, include: HR staff as a percentage of total staff; HR function budget per employee and HR budget as a percentage of revenue; and profit per employee.

The report is available to participants for $836.00, with additional copies going for $165.
