Employment relations across the globe is constantly evolving, and there are often flow-on effects from one country to another in the sphere of industrial relations. With this in mind, the fourth edition of International and Comparative Employment Relations: Globalisation and the developed market economies looks at issues such as how globalisation is impacting on employment relations, theories for explaining such impacts, the context for HR management in other countries and learning experiences of other countries.

In this tome, employment relations experts from ten countries analyse the above issues in their countries, including the characteristics of the major groups and parties concerned and the nature and types of bargaining and power relationships. The authors examine each country’s environment of employment relations – economic, historical, legal, social and political – and the major players, such as employers, unions and governments.
