Executive Knowledge Works

www.ekw-hrd.com

Founded by a team of managers responsible for Motorola’s worldwide executive education initiatives, Executive KnowledgeWorks (EKW) provides research on global HR development issues such as organisational development strategies and executive education programs.

As a US-based site, some of EKW’s resources are limited in their usefulness for Australian HR practitioners, however their research page features two insightful and forward thinking sections on articles and case studies. These are particularly insightful, with detailed information on companies such as Cigna, KnightRidder and Motorola.

While most of EKW’s research is only available to corporate clients, the information shared on both these sections can provide HR practitioners with valuable insights, with articles on creating high-impact executive development, challenging education programs for top executives, strategic decision making and executives lessons in leadership.

A very noticeable strength of the site is the pleasing design, with pull down menus making navigation a breeze. Combined with the succinctly practical content, EKW’s site serves as a lesson in user-friendliness that many HR-related sites could well take a leaf out of.
