Betterworkplacenow.com

www.betterworkplacenow.com

First impressions of Betterworkplacenow.com are good. The topic is great and design comes with all the bells and whistles. But if you’re after hard and fast content, you’re likely to be disappointed.

The website is the work of one US-based HR consultant called Tom Terez, who originally authored 22 Keys to Creating a Meaningful Workplace. He has since branched out into the online world with a good number of additions through his website.

The site provides a number of free resources under ‘insight and inspiration’, with articles looking at the lessons readers can learn from those that Tom Terez finds inspiring.

Most of this is fairly light on, and access to more resources requires a (free) ‘bronze key’ subscription. This provides access to strategies, tips and assessment tools designed to create a better workplace. Examples include an ‘instant advisor’ which provides action ideas tailored to workplace situations, an ‘awesome and awful boss hall of fame’ with details on the 96 best and worst leaders and a reasonably comprehensive download centre, with more articles on offer.

Navigation and design are great in their simplicity. Overall Betterworkplacenow.com does provide some good resources on the softer side of HR, but lacks the punch of some other like-minded sites.
